HOPE PROJECT: LATINO OUTREACH
Hope Project, funded by MHSA Proposition 63, serves Latino families living on the Western Slope of El Dorado County.
This program addresses isolation in the Latino adult population and peer and family problems in the youth population. Promotoras, or community advocates, engage Latino families in a variety of services and provide referrals and greater access to culturally competent mental health services.
Our service area includes the northern, southern, western, mid-county, Placerville area and surrounding regions of the county. All services are free to residents of the county.
The program goals include assisting families with life challenges, acknowledging family strengths, providing outreach to the Latino community while bridging the gap between those needing additional assistance and community resources.
