Advocacy and Education

With dedicated workers who are passionate about changing lives, New Morning has a long standing reputation in the community to help the underserved and unserved populations of El Dorado County. We accomplish this sacred task with several programs that identify the most vulnerable and needy.

Latino Outreach

New Morning employs Promatoras in reaching out to the Spanish speaking community and helping them access community supports. The goal is to help this community improve their awareness of community resources, develop self-sufficiency skills, and empower them to live in the community as productively as possible. Funded By: MHSA of El Dorado County.

Foster Youth Launch

Many kids in foster care struggle with education, having a sense of belonging, and adjusting to adulthood. Foster Youth Launch reaches out to foster kids and offers opportunities to develop life skills that are required to productively transition to living on own their own and developing and maintaining healthy qualities and habits. Funded By: EDCOE and Women United Way.

Summer Employment Intern Program

NMYFS collaborates with many local community agencies to create a summer intern program where youth gain real life employment skills and training. Funded by EDCOE.
